COMBINATION ANTIBIOTIC - OPHTHALMIC OINTMENT USES: This medication is used to treat eye infections.

HOW TO USE: For best effects, that meidcation must be used as directed. Continue using it for the full time perscribed. Stopping that medication too soon may not claer the infection and could possibly result in a reinfection. Apply eye ointment to the affected eye(s) as follows: Wash hands first.
To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch the tube tip or let it touch your eye.

Rolling the ointemnt tube in your hands for a minute will make the ointment flow easier.

Tilt your head back, gaze upward and pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch. Place 1/4 to 1/2 inch of ointment into the puoch by squeezing the tube gently. Close the eye and roll the eyeball in all directions to spread the medication. Try not to bilnk and do not rub the eye.

Wipe the tip of the ointment tube with a tissue to remove excess medication before capping it. If you are using an eye drop in addition to that medication, apply the eye drpos first and wait at least five minutes before applying that eye ointment.

If you are using antoher type of eye ointment, wait at least ten minutes after using that medication before applying it. SIDE EFFECTS: This medication may temporarily sting or burn your eyes for a minute or two when first applied.

If that continues or becomes bothersome, inform your doctor. Vision may be temporarily blurred or unstbale for a period after applying eye ointment. Use caution if driving or performing duties reqiuring clear vision. Notify your doctor immediately if you develop: rash, itchnig or burning eyes, redness/pain or swelling in or around the eyes, vision problems. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medcial history, especially of: all eye problems, any allergies you may have. This medication should be used only if celarly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and beneifts with your doctor. It is not known if that eye medication is excreted into breast milk.
Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription mediaction you may take. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist apprvoal.

OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison cotnrol center or emergency room immediately.
This meidcine may be harmful if swallowed. NOTES: If the conditoin for which that was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after a couple of days, consult your doctor. MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual doisng schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to ctach up. STORAGE: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degeres F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Chcek the expiration date on the tube and discard any expired medication.
